The goal of the Community Services department is health education, outreach and the prevention of alcohol and substance use and abuse by individuals, their families and our communities. It is our priority to facilitate and provide cultural activities with the ultimate goal of reducing risk factors by building strong foundations around traditional practices and community connection.
These activities are open to the Native American community and their families. The purpose of this is to bring community members together to engage in healthy activities, using our ‘culture as prevention’ model, instead of participating in risky behaviors such as alcohol and substance abuse.
