The Nutrition Services Department of the Sacramento Native American Health Center offers a range of individual and group services. We offer healthy living and disease prevention classes as well as individual counseling for nutrition-related conditions. The goal of our program is to improve and maintain the quality of life for our clients.

Nutrition related health problems such as overweight and obesity, diabetes, and heart disease have become all too common — even among our children — and can drastically affect our quality of life. The foods we choose for ourselves and our families can have a huge impact on long-term health and vitality. Healthy eating and an active lifestyle are traditional to Native Americans.
