SNAHC has developed a model program that combines mental health and substance abuse counseling with traditional healing practices for Native American families. Our program is based on traditional American Indian values and is an innovative model for integrated health services developed by the Sacramento Native American Health Center. Our Behavioral Health department has received funding to provide outpatient alcohol/substance abuse counseling and mental health services by CSAT, IHS, and the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP). Treatment and prevention efforts are geared toward restoring balance and well-being for the individual. SNAHC is certified by CA State Department of Alcohol and Drug programs (ADP) for outpatient alcohol/substance abuse counseling.
